The other day my son and I were joking around and he turned to me and said “Mommy, you’re weird!” With little hesitation I told him, “Hunny, weird is the new cool!” Ian and I both feel that we are blessed to have each other, two “weirdos” that love one another for our own weirdness! Growing up we both had moments where we felt the pressures of fitting in, while struggling to conform. Those that know us, and especially those that love us, know that together, and as individuals, we are anything but ordinary. We quickly connected to the unicorn, and told our son Ethan that each person is their own unicorn and has something that distinguishes them from everyone else. We told him that these differences are the pieces that make the world interesting and worth being a part of. This year has been one of great reflection and many challenges. As we head into our third year of business, together Ian and I have really thought about our message and where we want to take Pulp Creations. This is the moment. This is our message to the world. We are all beautiful. We are all unique. We are all strong! Today, on Pink Shirt Day, we wear our unicorn horns proud. Each one of us beautiful. Each one of unique. Each one of strong!
Each unicorn horn is personalized on each product. What colour is your unicorn horn?

As we enter our third year of Pulp Creations Marketing & Design, we are also celebrating our 12th year of marriage. The Three Amigos have had a year with many trials and tribulations but one things has remained true, we are a great team! Today we took a well-deserved "day-off". We slept in, enjoyed a custom greeting card made by our youngest, and at times, most creative amigo! We enjoyed time together, and a much anticipated meal at Cactus Club. Our perfect day is now ending in only the most fitting way (for my two guys) with a viewing of The Avengers. As we enter this new year at Pulp we are excited about the new opportunities awaiting us. We are in the midst of our favourite holiday season, and are most proud of our 2018 Christmas Collection! This is a great time to look back and reflect on the firsts and bests of 2018... We started the year with the launch of our best and largest collection of greeting cards. This collection continues to be customer favourites, with the Trump card, holding up to its name, our Trump Card. This card has by far been our best seller! We have had other great accomplishments this year, including partnering with some great local small businesses to create product cards, marketing materials, business cards, logos, and other specialty items to help them be unique and be remembered. As such, we have developed our own business mantra as we believe that our products and services allow our customers to: Be unique. Be remembered.
This is us.
Larraine & Ian. We have been married for 11 years. We are best friends. Almost two years ago we started Pulp Creations MD. We love to put our minds together and create! Ian is a professional graphic artist who is able to create any and every project put upon him. Together we work to create the perfect greeting and custom cards for our customers, but we can and have created so much more! We have helped businesses with their logos, business cards, product tags, stationary and promotional posters and flyers. We have helped couples create invites, custom invites for bridal parties, favour tags, table numbers, seating charts, movie posters, menus and thank you cards. We have helped families create custom birthday and anniversary invites, baby announcements, favour tags, posters and signs, custom scrapbook pages and more. If you need it we can help create it! A new year brings the excitement of new goals! This year I have set myself up with the word believe. This is a word that I struggle with at times. My goal this year is to believe in all that I do and most importantly in myself. I often find myself working towards various goals and feel as though I have nothing to show for it. This is not the case, but for me, at times, I find it hard to believe it! 2017 I tried to tackle many means to growing our small business, facebook, instagram, etsy, and creating our own website. These seemed easy, but as I became immersed in each, I realized the greater beast that each actually are! It was easy to feel and become overwhelmed. For 2018 I have decided to believe in my ability to learn about things like SEO, brand story, and the such. I will take each day as it comes and know that setting smaller and attainable goals each week will help me achieve my lofty goals this year. I believe that I will continue to set goals and reach them each week. I believe that I will become knowledgeable in all things social media in time!
I am excited to launch our 2018 Collection of greeting cards. 2017 was such a great year of learning and business, and we are blessed to have had the chance to help our clients create memorable events and cards for the special moments in their lives. This year we are creating a subscriber list for our clients, to allow them to receive exclusive offers and sneak peaks at our newest cards before we list them on our website. I believe that this will be a great year for us at Pulp Creations MD, primarily because we have the best clients! Thank you to everyone that supported us this past year and cheers to all the wonderful love and happiness that awaits us in 2018!
